On December 9, more than 1,500 kids and their parents visited the DC Armory to browse local schools at the My School DC EdFest 2017. Nearly 200 District of Columbia public and public charter schools were on hand to talk with families about their various educational opportunities for pre-kindergarten through high school.
EdFest 2017 provided important school lottery application information and guidance from the My School DC team. Fun activities were offered for the whole family!
• Family games and all-ages entertainment
• Recreational activities for all ages
• Story time with DC Public Library and library card registration
• Onsite immunizations and health screenings
EdFest coincided with the online launch of the My School DC lottery application on December 11, 2017 for the 2018-19 school year. My School DC is a random lottery, with no advantage to applying first, but applications MUST be received by the application deadlines (February 1 for high school and March 1 for pre-kindergarten through 8th grade).
