College Football History Comes to RFK Stadium September 30

If you’ve ever wanted to see gridiron history, your chance is coming to RFK Stadium Saturday, September 30.

That’s when local favorite Georgetown University will defend the District against Harvard University, right here in your neighborhood. It will be the first time the Hoyas and Crimson have faced off in RFK Stadium and only the fourth-ever matchup between the two teams.  Although Harvard has won the last three meetings, Hoya fans hope that RFK Stadium will give our team a home turf advantage – and they’re looking to fill the historic stadium with as many loud and excited voices (like yours) as possible.

The game begins at 2 pm. It will be streamed on the Patriot League Network. But with tickets as low as $7 for youth and $12 for adults, you can bring your entire family and some friends to watch the pageantry of college football – and maybe even begin preparing your future football star for a college career. The game provides a showcase for the Georgetown Hoyas, who – in the words of Head Coach Rob Sgarlata – are, “committed to recruiting local student athletes from the talent-rich DMV area.” In fact, the 2017 roster includes 12 players from either Maryland or Virginia.

The game promises to be memorable for players and fans alike.

"The historic stadium provides an enhanced platform for these student-athletes to have an experience that will last a lifetime and we're happy to partner with Georgetown and Harvard to create memories for the players, students, alumni and fans," Erik A. Moses, senior vice president and managing director, Events DC Sports, Entertainment and Special Events, said.
